2002 Chevy Impala
2002 Chevy Impala LS for sale. 3800 engine with 123K miles! Runs great and drives smooth! Decent tires. Brake pads front and back new less than 3K miles on them. Oil changed at apx. 120K. New Malibu speedometer cluster at 116K miles, picture posted of old cluster and trip of 6K miles since I changed it (the odometer is from the Malibu so it's not accurate.) Spark plugs @ 115K. Coil packs and ignition module replaced at 115K as well. Good stock speakers and radio, sounds great. All lights including fog lights work, cigarette lighter works. Beige leather interior, dual power seats, dual heated seats! Now the bad: He's rusty but trusty. I've owned Ron Burgundy here for over a year, and he's started up every time effortlessly. Could use new rotors, I didn't do them with the pads because I knew I wouldn't have it much longer. The brakes are really squeaky since I replaced the pads but they work. In the process of determining the ignition module needed to be replaced, the cat converter was cut out. The exhaust is kind of hacked, it's clamped and hung and is reliable but it's a little loud, nothing unbearable. Should be welded. The wipers are stuck in the up position, but they do work when needed. Sometimes the drivers side wiper gets stuck and you just have to give it a little push then it works fine. Honestly i just use Rain X and don't use the wipers. Typical Michigan Chevy rust (undercarriage, corners of fenders and by the gas door.) The driver door is a little loud when opened, could probably be fixed easily. The hydraulics for the trunk need to be replaced so it's hard to open and slams shut hard. The air doesn't work. Needs a new compressor, I bought one from a junkyard and will include it, just haven't had time to do it. Leaks a little bit above the compass cluster at the roof when it rains. Overall, I've babied this car. I searched for a low mileage 3800 engine because I wanted a reliable engine, and I found it. I don't want to sell it but I am getting a new car and don't need it. If you need a cheap car that will start up and run great for many miles to come, this is it. Text or call with any questions or for more pictures please. PLEASE no lowball offers. Thanks for looking.
